Team Spotlight
We are shining a spotlight on the faces of Box Legal! We are proud to have built a dynamic team of reliable, trustworthy, and dedicated individuals with extensive experience and expertise across the legal, financial, and tech sectors.
Throughout the next two weeks, we will be introducing some of our team in more detail to let you get to know them more, including how they started at Box Legal and why they enjoy working here!
What did you want to be when you were 10?
I legitimately thought I’d be a professional dancer! I danced from the age of 3, up until I went to university. It was the usual suspects of ballet tap, but also modern and jazz.
I could see myself on a musical stage, apart from the very obvious problem that I could not hold a tune if my life depended on it!
I got to perform at the Birmingham Reparatory Theatre a couple of times in their productions, but the call of university and my law degree was obviously just too strong and the dancing fell by the wayside.
Nothing of course to do with my newly found freedom and the ‘fresher’s’ lifestyle!
What was the last book you read?
I am cheating a little here, as I am thinking of books I’m reading with my daughter. She is currently loving the ‘Little People Big Dreams’ books, which are so inspiring.
Recent favourites of ours are Anne Frank and Amelia Earhart.
We have a family city break booked to Amsterdam and we plan to visit Anne Frank’s house, as it’s a subject they are also studying at school. The books are so well written and pitched for children, and even when dealing with sad or sensitive subjects they manage to hit the right note and leave a feeling of positivity and curiosity. Personally, I’m trying to read more actual books and less ‘Instagram’!
Describe your perfect day
Under my duvet with a book and some peach ice tea.
What did you want to be when you were 10?
I wanted to be a geologist. I used to drive my sister crazy when we were kids on the beach, all I wanted to do was break rocks open to see what was inside!
Who did you have on posters on your wall?
My room was covered with posters of Adam Ant – I adored him! We went to see him in concert at Southend a couple of years ago, he’s still fabulous!
What was the last book you read?
Nothing that anyone will have heard of – I love trashy zombie apocalyptic books!
Name an invention/item that changed your life when you got it
I love to cook, I recently was given a non-stick pan that can be used on the hob AND in the oven. Game changer – the family calls it my magic pan.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would live in Thingvellir in Iceland. It sits on the North Atlantic Ridge, which is where the North Atlantic and Eurasian plates are breaking apart (around 2cm a year) – there’s a lot of geology going on there!

Lord Justice Jackson proposed key reforms that took effect in the post-April 2013 civil litigation regime. These reforms affected the personal injury market and ATE insurance heavily, and January to March became 3 of Box Legal’s busiest months. We thankfully had a strong team and we pulled together to work through this time. Our adverts changed in line with the new regime, and a selection of these are featured below.
